The Cubs are seemingly back to doing Cub-like things after an amazing run, down two games to zero in the National League Championship Series to the slightly-less-historically-sadsack Mets. This cute “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” medley pieced together from various performances at Chicago’s Wrigley Stadium has, bizarrely, just five hundred views — one for each year since the Southside has seen a title, or roughly thereabouts. In it, we’re treated to bars from all time greats like Vin Scully, Harry Carey, a guy pretending to be Harry Carey, and whichever Belushi it is that still walks the earth. Tonight’s ballgame may functionally be the last meaningful one for this year’s Cubs, or it may be the start of something truly historic. Either way, we’ll always have Rob Schneider, the guy from…what was it, Deuce Bigalow, or whatever the hell.Get your balls in the game!
