Ball pythons are named as such because of their tendency to curl up into a little knot when they’re scared or stressed. But most of the time, they’re friendly and easy-going animals that make good pets. YouTube channel prehistoricpetstv shared this clip recently of a mother python with a massive clutch of eggs. Typically ball python mothers only lay eight to ten at a time, so this is the result of three separate lays.

The ten minute video is chock full of fascinating information about the breed, as these guys know what they’re talking about. If you’re interested in snakes, throw them a subscription and you can watch these babies hatch and grow into beautiful reptiles.
