As you may know, April is Testicular Cancer Awareness Month, where the Sean Kimerling Foundation and our friends across the globe ramp up our efforts in early detection and prevention. The #1 way to catch it before it spreads is through regular self-examination. A monthly squeeze and roam around the old ballsack for anything that feels out of place, and then a trip to the doctor if it does, can save a life. That’s why one British burger chain is running a promotion where customers who do the self-exam get free mac and cheese balls.
Byron Burger is working with Testicular Cancer UK to spread the world, redubbing their balls “Mac and Squeeze Balls.” They’re working on the honor system with this promotion, so all you have to do is add them to your order and perform your self-check at home. But if you don’t do the self-examination, you’re only hurting yourself. They’ve even created a cute little diagram to teach customers the most effective method of checking ’em.
We’re an ocean away from the chain’s nearest outpost so it’s not likely that we’ll be able to nip over for a burger and some free mac and cheese balls. That said, we salute their efforts and hope it gets a lot of Brits checking their nuts this month and far into the future.
