Testicular cuisine is common around the world, but most people at least cook the damn things. Street vendor Ronal Vasquez, who runs a popular cart in the Guatemalan city of Antigua, doesn’t mess around with that. His signature cocktail is made with raw bull testicles, and it’s incredibly popular. This isn’t a “cocktail” like an alcoholic beverage. Think “shrimp cocktail,” only with chopped-up bovine nuts instead of seafood. Soaked in a tasty, tangy broth, it looks not half bad, but it’s still a leap of faith we’re not totally comfortable making. Anybody who’s been to Guatemala and tried this care to chime in?
