Could you use an extra $25,000? Dollar Shave Club wants to give it to you, and all you have to do is tell them about your gonads in a creative way. To commemorate the release of Groundskeeper, their new grooming product, the company is hosting a contest where the most compelling and artistic textual paeans to nutsacks get cash and a unique artistic opportunity.
In addition to the money, two winners will have their portraits pained by illustrator, visual artist and creative designer Serge Gay Jr. It’s not clear whether you’ll have to pull your nuts out for the image, but one would think it would be the appropriate thing to do. Gay is no stranger to unusual subject matter, saying “My painting is storytelling and the contestants are able to have the story [of their balls] captured in art. Who doesn’t want to be memorialized that way?”
We’re not going to pretend that we didn’t enter the contest ourselves – who thinks about balls more than your friends here at the Ball Report – and that $25,000 would make a hell of a donation to the Sean Kimerling Testicular Cancer Foundation. Thanks to Dollar Shave Club for helping draw even more attention to balls around the world.
