One of the many things that has made Fortnite such a huge success in the gaming world is the playground nature of the experience. In addition to the core mechanics of building and killing, the developers love to put in lots of little challenges and Easter eggs to mix things up. Recently, they added a special little treat activity for Battle Pass holders that involves practicing your golf game as the storm closes in.
The Fortnite map recently got a new area - Lazy Links, replacing Anarchy Acres. As you’d guess from the name, Lazy Links is a golf course. If players head there and equip themselves with golf balls, they can participate in the challenge which requires them to hit five balls from tee to green (thankfully you don’t have to make it into the cup) before getting killed. When you get close enough, you’ll see a notification pop up in your feed and you can move to the next hole.
Gamers are already coming up with strategies to get it done as soon as possible. Commandeering a golf cart to transport you from hole to hole is essential, as is picking a good starting spot - farther away from the clubhouse is better for avoiding enemies, but if you start there you have the chance to pick up some gear. It’s a toss-up.
