It’s the first week of October, and the MLB Playoffs are set. As a result, the majority of major leaguers are packing up their lockers and beginning their offseasons away from the parks they call home most of the year. That includes A’s catcher Stephen Vogt, who might actually be looking forward to a nice, long trip away from behind home plate. The brutal foul tip he took to the groin in early September lingered for weeks, earning him several games off, a barrage of medical tests, and a good deal of anxiety. “Right now the thought of getting back there makes me nauseous,” Vogt said after rejoining the Athletics. So see you next year, Stephen and Stephen’s groin! We hope you make a full recovery. Oh, and take your cup with you please.Get your balls in the game!
