It’s not totally clear why sausage balls are holiday fare in certain parts of the country. They’re not for Santa, after all, and there’s probably not much traditional hog slaughtering going back hundreds of years. Even now, in states that don’t have farm land up to their ears, it might be unheard of to go wild on some ground pork for breakfast. That’s inexcusable!
As the Bob Ross of cooking explains in this video, “damp hands make smooth balls”. That’s advice we can all surely live by.
