It feels like we say it every day, but it’s just that important: check your balls. Regular testicular self-examination is key to catching testicular cancer and other issues before they spread. One of the most recent celebrities to come out and share our message is Love Island star Chris Hughes, who went on British show This Morning and got himself checked out by a doctor in front of the cameras.
Hughes had some issues with his balls at a young age – when he was 14, he noticed an odd development down there when he was taking a bath, which turned out to be a varicocele that he needed to have surgically removed. Since that day, he’s been a staunch advocate for checking things out down there and wasn’t afraid to drop trou and get his nutsack out on national TV to lead the way.
In the interview, he’s frank and candid about having his sperm frozen for fear of infertility, and talks about his brothers issues as well. And, of course, he gets his balls out and has them handled. It’s hard enough to do that in your doctor’s office, so kudos to this actor for baring it all out of consideration for men’s health.
