We’re still not certain exactly what inspired a Washington man to strip off his shirt and wedge his body into a basketball hoop. Police were called to Seattle’s Cal Anderson Park on Friday after people called in a report that a man was stuck in the hoop and couldn’t get himself free. Nearly a dozen officers made their way to the scene and watched as the dude tried in vain to get down, eventually getting a ladder to help him out. Here’s an amusing video in case you’re having a hard time picturing it.
As of press time, nobody’s managed to interview the guy to discover exactly what he was doing up there with a hammer, but the always-snarky Seattle police department had this to say on Twitter.
Shirtless man removed from Cal Anderson basketball hoop. He may be arrested for property destruction, or at least goal-tending.
