The sad tale of Lance Armstrong is one of modern sports’ most tragic stories. From the incredible heights of conquering testicular cancer and winning the Tour de France seven times in a row to the dismal lows of having all of those wins stripped from him when his use of performance-enhancing drugs was revealed, it’s quite an arc. Academy Award-nominated director Stephen Frears has been working on a film about Armstrong for several years, and the first trailer just dropped. Called The Program, it looks to be a hard-hitting drama that doesn’t pull any punches. Ben Foster stars as Armstrong, and the movie is set for release on October 8th in Germany, with plans to tour the festival circuit.Get your balls in the game!
