Peanut Butter Balls: A Fitting End to a Holiday Balls Feast

You’ve devoured your main course and your side dish, but now it’s nearing the end of the night, and it just won’t be Thanksgiving without a delicious balls-themed dessert. You could try Chocolate Rum Balls, but there’s always someone in the family who thinks alcohol is the devil. Protein Balls would be an option, but they sound fairly healthy, and this is the wrong time of year for that nonsense. Jamaican Tamarind Balls sound great, actually, but shopping for normal ingredients this time of year is hell — there’s no telling how insane your Thanksgiving Eve search for tamarind would be. What to do, what to do?!

Enter the Buckeye (Peanut Butter Balls). These bad boys are like Reese’s cups on MDMA, and there is no confusing them for anything approaching health food. The recipe actually calls for you to melt regular butter into peanut butter, and if that isn’t a job worth doing, then nothing is. Hopefully, after the chicken balls, the potato balls, and a day full of footballs, your family still has room for some peanut butter balls. If not, you’ll just have to eat them all after they leave. Oh, rats!

Happy holidays, everyone, and enjoy your balls!
