The Running Of The Balls

You know that each and every day this site brings you the latest news and information about balls from all over the world. But have you taken a second to think about the organization behind it? The Sean Kimerling Testicular Cancer Foundation is devoted to ending the scourge of testicular cancer in men through research and prevention.

One of the Foundation’s annual events is the Running of the Balls, a 5K / 10K footrace taking place on New York’s Roosevelt Island. Now entering its fourth year, it’s a great time for East Coast supporters to get together, get some exercise and fresh air and help the cause.

There are three ways you can help. If you run a business, consider sponsoring the race at one of three levels. If you’re just there to run, form a team at this link. And if you’re not in the NYC area, or just don’t like to move your feet, you can donate to an existing team here.

This year’s Running of the Balls is scheduled for Sunday, June 19th. Your humble editor will be there, and I hope you’ll be too.
