Robot Roller-Derby Disco Dodgeball Is Your New Favorite Game

TAGGED: |

Robot Roller-Derby Disco Dodgeball is a mouthful of a name for a game, but it’s worth saying. The PC title came out in 2015 but we’re just learning about it now courtesy of a video from YouTube star jacksepticeye. The game is the creation of a dude named Erik Asmussen and if you like first-person deathmatch shooters with a twist, you’ll want to pick it up on Steam right now.

The basic gist of Robot Roller-Derby Disco Dodgeball you can probably figure out from the title: you control a robot who rolls around on one wheel like a malevolent unicycle and can pick up and throw balls at your foes. Like traditional dodgeball, this is a one-hit kill game, and you get more points for trick shots and impressive moves.

Because your robot is wheeled, you also need to learn to manage acceleration and momentum - levels are full of ramps and other surfaces you can use to launch yourself in the air and out of the way of enemy fire. You can also use points you score to buy upgrades and make your dodgeball robot even more deadly.

Download it and give it a try.
