It’s easy to get frustrated during an interview, especially when things aren’t going your way. But when a reporter pushed Bahram Afsharzadeh, the ex-chairman of Iranian soccer team Esteghlal, too far during an interview over the weekend, things rapidly went south.
Afsharzadeh was being confronted with questions about the team and his management. Watching his face during the short clip, you can see him rapidly becoming upset by the reporter’s line of inquiry. Afsharzadeh only spent two years in charge of the team, but they were eventful ones that saw Esteghlal perform terribly and fall to 5th in their league.
When it finally gets to be too much for him to handle, he snaps “This is for you,” and quickly strikes one of the men in the crotch. The impact doesn’t seem too severe, but as anybody who has ever been tapped in the sack knows, even the littlest bit can be painful and the reporter folds like a card table. Afsharzadeh walks away nonchalantly like nothing happened.
The Sun has more on the incident, but doesn’t go into any detail on whether Afsharzadeh will face sanctions for his actions.Get your balls in the game! Donate to the Sean Kimerling Foundation to win the battle against testicular cancer.
