The Guinness Book of World Records is one of humanity’s greatest accomplishments, an exhaustive chronicle of men and women pushing themselves to the limit to one-up each other across thousands of categories. In Italy, the Book has a weekly TV show where they host prospective record-beaters as they attempt their feats, and it’s a hell of a lot of fun to watch.
A few weeks ago, two of the world’s leading trick shot experts battled each other to set the world record for the most pool balls shot into the middle pocket over an obstacle in one minute. This is one of those ultra-specific challenges that only a handful of people on the planet are capable of taking on. Stefano Pelingai from Italy and Florian ‘Venom’ Kohler from France are two of those people.
The obstacles presented to the pair of men were a double row of pool balls, meaning that each and every shot had to vault over them and make it unerringly into the middle pocket to count. We’re pretty sure that we couldn’t do this even once, but watching the machine-like trick shot precision of Pelingai and Kohler is a sight to behold.
Who comes out on top? Was a new world record set? You’ve got to watch the video, buddy. We can’t do everything for you.Get your balls in the game! Donate to the Sean Kimerling Foundation to win the battle against testicular cancer.
